Silmukointi

Valmiit ohje: Mile high club, lanka: Regia Pairfect, puikot: 2.5 mm Mile high club - Tui Neuloin pitkästä aikaa sukat ja jopa valmiiksi asti! Ohje oli ilmainen Tuin Mile high club socks . Palmikot pitivät mielenkiinnon yllä kokonaisen parin valmistumiseen asti. Ainoa muutos jonka tein oli kärki. Viimeisten silmukoiden läpi pujotetaan lanka joka kiristetään, mutta se jätti ikävän kolon mielestäni, joten päättelin silmukoimalla loput silmukat yhteen. Sukat istuvat ja pysyvät jalassa ihan ennätyshyvin. Tavallinen kantalappukantapää yleensä löystyy käytössä sen verran, ettei sukat pysy nukkuessa jalassa. Näissä sukissa sen sijaan oleva ranskalainen kantapää istuu paremmin jalkaan eikä löysty muodottomaksi. Myös palmikot pitävät sukkaa kuosissa niin ettei se pääse leviämään muodottomaksi käytössä. Lankana käytin Schachenmayr Regia Pairfect -lankaa. Kaupassa kuvittelin langan olevan harmaata, mutta kotona selvisi että se onkin sinistä. Langan sävy vaihtuu n. 10 sentin välein, mut...

Innostuin virkkaamaan yhtäkkiä taas, kun tuli siirreltyä lankalaatikoita. Päätin aloittaa tehdä aivottamasti uutta Happypotamusta  laatikoista löytyvistä Nalle-langoista. En ole osannut käyttää näitä Nallen kirjavia värejä missään työssä oikein. Tykkään niistä kerällä, mutta neulottuna ne on turhan sekavia. Joten yritin sitten käyttää edes yhtä väriä pois. Kaveriksi valitsin vaalean harmaan tasapainottamaan. Täytyy sanoa, että on paljon helpompi tehdä näitä tyyppejä niin että jokainen pala on väriltään sama, koska muuten mulla menee hirveästi aikaa valita värejä, että ois just oikeat ja sittenkin en ole koskaan tyytyväinen. Mutta! Se valmistui ja sain uuden hippokaverin. Projekti Ravelryssä Tarvitsin uutta kivaa lankaa lahjaksi meneviin perusvillasukkiin, joten kävin Menita Outletissa. Siellä vastaan tuli Drops loves you 7 -lankaa miljoonassa värissä. En ostanut sitä, mutta se jäi kutittelemaan sen verran, että sitä täytyi hakea myöhemmin jokaista väriä. Hintaa näillä o...

It tend to do knitting in series. Last December I knitted amigurumi toys. Now I have moved to knee socks! Okay.. I'm knitting also a Swallowtail Shawl. I who usually don't knit useful things like socks... I haven't knitted pair of socks since I was school and there I knitted only one pair. So those with Fabel are my first pair of since. I'm quite proud! First ones was from Fabel. This yarn is so nice to knit and so comfy. They turned nice and elegant although I used multicolor yarn. Yarn: Drops Fabel Pattern: Own Needles: 2,5 mm in Ravelry Second pair is made of Sisu. They are pretty but not so comfy. They didn't turn out so well than first ones. The pattern is pretty but I didn't quite manage to knit these right so I frogged them for many reasons. I regret that decision but I'm going to start again soon. I'm participating Ravelympics 2008, which is "knittin olympics". My knits are participating Events like colorwork cross country and amigurumi-n-toy toss and WIP wrestling. Today I got first knit finish. It's Berry Octopus . Berry Octopus is a cheerful and lively little thing. She went straight to wild and wanted to pose in grass. She loved the flowers. Pattern is Octopus by hansigurumi . I used Novita Nalle Colori and some vintage Marlux superwash. Needles was 2,5 mm dps.

Sensual knits Last wednesday I got Sensual Knits from Book Depository. It is so fantastic book. It is just what knitbook should be. There are beautiful photographs and well written text. I could watch those photos again and again and they are so good. It is not suprise to me that this book is made by Photographer. Person who understand photos and knits is wonderful compination to make knit book. I read the introduction and other texts very carefully and totally agree with them. I don't have much money to spend to yarn so I will only buy them when I need them and am totally sure I will knit certain project from them. This way I save money and can buy more expensive yarns and choose luxuries instead of acryl. Unfortunately I don't have the book with me now so I can't quote it. There are many patterns I like but I'm not yet sure will I knit them. But I'm really sure that I will some day knit Vixen camisole . I don't have photo of it but if you have Ravelry account ...

My Nudibranch is finally finish! I'm almost finish with my Taika-mekko , but it too big. Now I'm testing if I can save it with smaller needles. If that doesn't help I'll frog it. Then I will knit again to get much prettier dress. Here is photo when I was just started to knit.

I haven't knitted my nudibranch since last time.. Here you see how it looks now: I almoust finished my DNA scarf. I haven't fasted off yarn but otherwise I don't need to knit it anymore. It's lovely but maybe too narrow. This is how it look in beginning. I started making Zetor scarf in Colinette Jitterbug. I love the colours of yarn: Today I got yarn reel from my mum's ware and wound a skein of Jitterbug. It was really fun and fast! I'm proud of result. It's cute.

I finally finished my octopus. Pattern is made by hansigurumi. Yarn is Novita Nalle and I used 3 mm needles. In progress picture: It took me 2 months to do this. This was a little difficult to me but I think and hope that second one would be quicker and easier to do. Next I will do nudibranch from hansigurumi or Shaun the Sheep mobile pattern.
